Tanks
The best tactic ive found for the tank is to form a box
formation around him. You can all concentrate fire on him while
watching each others backs for smokers ect. And he can only attack one
corner of the box at a time.

Smokers
Stay close to each other so you can melee the tongue off
of each other. If its quite you can leave the tongue on holding him in
place while you take him down.

Hunters
Stay close again same as smokers really

Boomer
Space out so he can’t goo you all. If ever your caught
by him drop back to the middle of the group and the clean team members
stand in front of you for defence. Don’t fire just melee because you
can guarantee you will hit your defender.

Molotovs
Best used before a horde gets to you to block there
path. If you’re over run its best to throw the molly over their heads.
That way it stops any more coming in giving you a chance to deal with
the ones in close. A molly use in close quarters in a panic almost
always takes out your team.

Pipe bombs
Only prob. ive found ppl have is throwing them too
early or late. There best used when theirs loads of infected around.
They’re especially good when team members are down and you’re over run
as it draws them away giving you breathing space. It helps if you take
a roll at the start 2 ppl will hold there pipe bombs for emergencies
and 2 will use them to clear areas and incoming hordes.

Vs mode survivors
The key seems to be speed. Teams that can move
fast and stay together make best use of the infected spawn timer. You
also need to be able to employ the above tactics with speed. Not
letting the horde bog you down seams to be a key factor as well. Ive
seen many teams get stalled trying to find a hunter as you only get
points for the distance you cover and the health you have at the end
the less engagements you have the better.

Vs mode infected
As mentioned above bogging down the survivors is
a good tactic. Hunters are good for this hiding around a corner making
as much noise as possible seams to be there best use. Ive used it to
herd the survivors into the vent at the beginning of subway where a
boomer and smoker are waiting.

The tank is good for scattering a team that stay close for the
others to pick off. So holding back your attack until the tank panics
them works well. As the tank cars are you friends I managed to take out
3 ppl with one car throw. (You just hit it for anyone who doesn’t know
how)

Please post any more of better ones you have of find

excelent tactics Prem cheers
Not much for me to add, but maybe these tips:

When a hunter is close stay close BUT dont go standing too close to eachother:
If a hunter pounces one member of your team the other members will get knocked back!
Giving the hunter time to attack. The best way is to leave a bit of space between eachother,
so you can still melee/shoot the hunter quickly before the hunter causes damage on his victim.

Also, when a hunter is about to pounce he screams very loud so it makes it easier to know from
what direction he is coming so you can shoot/shove him before he hits you. Same goes for smokers and boomers.
When special infected sees a survivor and is ready to attack they will scream.

When a hunter is about to pounce you, and hes about 3/4 of his jump distance start shoving and you will see that the hunter
will get knocked back giving you time to shoot him or keep shoving it till he dies lol. This is also an excelent trick for versus, as it pisses off people who are playing as hunter lol!

When you have been vomited on make sure you have your flashlight on,
it makes it easier to see through the thick, slimy vomit Wink

Always stay as far away from boomer as possible to make sure you are safe from its vomit when he vomits or when he explodes.
If you are very close to a boomer shove it before it vomits, then shoot it.

When there is an incoming horde/panic or playing a finale always get yourself in a corner or stand with your back against a wall.
75% of the people die because of zombies attacking them from behind and they didnt see it in time.
Hallways are also an excelent place so you only have to shoot in one direction.

When faced with a tank throw a molotov right in front of him so he gets on fire.
This doesnt only damages the tank but also slows it down a little bit. Then keep walking backwards while shooting
him with auto shotgun or rifle (but also look behind you sometimes so you dont run into a dead end or get stuck somewhere).

Witches
You probably all know how to one-shot a witch..

In versus DON'T go kill the witch if you dont have to. ONLY when its blocking your path
The infected team will go stand around the witch alot to make you shoot her

And for God sakes..

DON'T SHOOT THE CAR!!1

The most important tactic is never, ever, EVER panic. Really bad things happen when you panic.

Always listen for sounds, that way you know what to expect ahead of time.

When you hear a hunter, stay away from high drops because the hunter's pounce knocks you back a good 10 feet.

When you hear a smoker, think about where you would be if you were a hunter (only in vs.) this is usually a good indicator for where the smoker is.

STAY TOGETHER!!!
